Great Family Events At The Lake This Weekend!

The Lake of the Ozarks is a wonderful place to spend quality time with your family year-round, but it is especially great in summer! As we head into the weekend, all of us at the Law Offices of Phillips, Carpenter, McElyea, & Welch, P.C. wanted to give you an overview of some of the great family friendly events at the Lake of the Ozarks!

Lake Race 2014

This weekend marks the second annual Lake Race Powerboat Invitational! The Bagnell Dam Strip will close to regular traffic on Friday morning, so you and your family can watch as the incredible powerboats from the deck of Bagnell Dam. 

 Friday: 
Head out to the Lake Race Street Party on the Bagnell Dam Strip at 6:00pm, where you and your family can meet and greet the drivers! Beavers at the Dam will have live music from 8:00pm-midnight.

 Saturday: 
Head out to Beavers on the Dam early to see the crane lower the magnificent boats into the water at 9:00am. The official race will begin at noon, right after the opening ceremonies, and should last until 5:00pm. Don't miss out on the Lake Race after parties at Beavers at the Dam and Shady Gators!

 Sunday:
The day will kick off with more racing from noon-5:00 pm (this time the crane will begin operating at 10:00am), followed by the awards ceremony. Beavers at the Dam will host another after party as soon as the awards ceremony is finished!

 Also on Sunday evening, Dogwood Hills Golf Club will host the Chopper Dropper at 6:00pm. Head over to Heroes Sports Saloon at 8:00pm to hear the winners announced!

BROStock


Several of the world's top wakeboard riders, including Harley Clifford, Shane Bonifay, and Bob Soven, will compete in the third annual BROStock competition at Captain Ron's Bar and Grill this weekend. 

Friday:
2:00pm-7:00pm ~ Round 1 kicks off with 24 riders at Pirates Cove 
2:00pm-7:00pm ~ Info and merchandise booth open at Captain Ron's
8:00pm ~ Meet and greet/party with the athletes at Captain Ron's

Saturday:
12:00pm ~ Round 2 starts with 10 riders at Pirates Cove
2:30pm ~ Finals start with 5 riders at Pirates Cove
6:00pm ~ Awards and after party at Captain Ron's!

Canine Cannonball

This event is a family favorite at the Lake of the Ozarks! Bring your kids, your dogs, and everyone else to Dog Days Bar and watch as the four-legged celebrities soar through the air and into the water!

Participating dogs will compete from late morning to early evening Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Your kids would love this event!
