66th Annual Dogwood Festival
There is always something fun going on at the Lake! This coming weekend marks the sixty-sixth year of the Dogwood Festival, a fun-filled event with something (or, more accurately, lots of somethings) for people of all ages. As active members of our local community, our attorneys at the Lake of the Ozarks are here to provide you with a general overview of all this fun event has to offer.
Indoor Craft Show
No matter what your hobbies and interests are, you're sure to find something of interest at the craft show. This year's craft show will feature over sixty different vendors with a huge variety of trades and products, including home restoration services, jewelry and accessories, toiletries, clothing, home decor, food, and (of course) crafts.
Admission is free to the public. Show hours are from 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM on Friday, April 15th and 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM on Saturday, April 16th. The show will be held inside the gym at Camdenton Middle School.
Mr. & Miss Dogwood Pageants
With age groups ranging from 4 years and under to 16-22, there is something for everyone at the pageants. The breakdowns are as follows:
Dogwood Festival Parade
The parade is always one of the primary focal points of the Dogwood Festival. With hundreds of participants, tons of candy, great music, and so much more, people of all ages love the parade. The parade route will wind through downtown Camdenton, so be sure to arrive early to secure your spot! The parade is scheduled to begin at 10:00 AM on Saturday, April 16th.
And So Much More...
So far, we've barely scratched the surface of everything the Dogwood Festival has to offer. Other events include a carnival, dog contest, dance performances, theatre productions, garage sales, art displays, and more. For more information on the 2016 Dogwood Festival, visit the Camdenton Area Chamber's website.
