Q: What are some of the key things that can go into a will?

A: A will is put into place so you can make your wishes known at a time where you physically can't because you are no longer with us. You may choose to include valuable assets in your will and the beneficiary that you wish to leave them to. These valuable assets may include a house, a car, land, or maybe small items such jewelry your elders may have left behind for you, that you may want to leave behind for your loved ones. If you're a parent, you may name your guardian in your will, which leads us to our next question.

Q: What is a guardian?

A: A guardian is the trusted person you name in your estate plan to care for your minor children in the event you pass away before they are of age.

Q: Can I leave anything to my pet in my will?

A: Legally, pets can't be left property in a will because they can't own property, but you can name a person to care for your pet in your will.
