Question: Why did you become a lawyer?
Answer: In Junior High School in Campbell, Mo. we were given an achievement test which also pointed out various occupations that best suited us. One area on my list was the law. At that time I wasn’t really sure what a lawyer did, but it sounded interesting so from that point forward I decided I wanted to be a lawyer.
Question: Where did you go to school (undergrad/Law School)?
Answer: I graduated from Mountain Grove, Mo. High School in 1964 and then graduated from the University of Missouri (Columbia) with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a major in marketing in 1968. After business school, I attended the University of Missouri (Columbia) Law School and graduated with a Juris Doctor degree 1971. While at the University I went through the Army ROTC program and after graduating from Law School I completed my military commitment, and came to Camdenton in November of 1971 and joined the law firm of Phillips and Parrish.
Question: Who is your family?
Answer: In August of 1970 I married Nancy (Scarborough). She has now put up with me for 43 ½ years. We have two boys, Chris and Brian.
