Relay for Life Event in Camden County!

It's one thing to be a lawyer... It's another thing to be a lawyer in Camden County, Missouri. We love the way the residents of Camden County are always hosting events that serve to better individuals in our community and those around us. One such event is coming up on this Saturday, October 11th: Relay for Life of Camden County.


As a part of the American Cancer Society, Relay for Life gives people an opportunity to stand up and partake in the fight against cancer. As their website says, "the Relay for Life movement features community and campus events that offer an inspiring opportunity to help cancer survivors, promote how individuals can reduce their cancer risk, and raise money to help end cancer." 

This Saturday, Camdenton High School is hosting a Relay for Life event from noon-midnight. The day will be filled with great events honoring those whose lives have been affected by cancer. Here's an overview of the day's events:

Opening Ceremony
The opening ceremony will set the tone for the rest of the day by celebrating the accomplishments of those who have been affected by cancer and inspiring people to continue fighting for a cure.

Survivors Lap
Anyone who has successfully battled cancer will have the opportunity to walk a victory lap around the high school track, cheered on by hundreds of loving supporters.

Caregivers Lap
Caring for someone who's battling cancer can be just as life-altering, so caregivers will also have a chance to walk a lap and be honored for their service and support.

Luminaria Ceremony
This heartfelt ceremony is designed to honor those who have lost their lives to cancer and to support those who have fought cancer in the past. This ceremony provides people with the opportunity to grieve the loss of loved ones and to find hope for a cure in the future.

Events like these are a crucial part of raising awareness for the cause and for finding a cure. We hope to see you there!
